I just bought some 12lb Korda IQ today after being recommended it! I know Fluro is weaker than it says it is so I went for the 12lb stuff as it is quite thin,
20mm I think. Have I made an error?!

And whilst on the subject I keep seeing these copolymers being bigged up.Again they are pants in most situations.Ok they might do as a hooklength for Carp in a
weedless snagless muddy pool on the end of a 14 metre rubber band (pole) but in other big fish situations they are hopeless.They originate from the USA where
they are used in 20lb test which is not likely to break, but reduce that B.S. to 12lb 10lb 8lb 6lb etc and it is pants.Vanish is not a fluro but it is crap as
are all the others. I suspect it will all settle down like the braid thing where everyone was using it for everything that swm and realised it was a line for
certain types of angling only and would not beat mono.Funny I have just put Maxima on all my reels again after a long break from it.The whole Gamma thing
struck me as odd, changing molecules blah blah blah, yeah right.

I don't understand? Is that sarcasm? I've always got on ok with fluro carbon for tench and barbel, the water I fish has loads of big carp and obviously
using scaled down carp tactics means you hook and lose these carp so I thought I step up the gear a bit. Are you sugesting that 20mm is too thick or too thin
for fluro meaning it will snap? Help!!

what knot were you going to use? I think you may have trouble with a size 10 as with a pallamar you would need to pass the line through the eye twice!

I see what I've done there, It's amazing what missing a . will do, even if it is obvious! But on a serious note is it poor then? |
