hello everyone i need a bit of advice making a rake ive bought the rope and rake which ive tied together unfortunatley when i threw it in it swiveled and didnt
rake do i needto add weight or a handle please help im dying to get out and catch cheers carl

Hi Carl, you have 2 choices either get 2 rake heads and tie them back to back, then tie the rope through the hole in the handle, this way it does not matter
how it lands it will always have one side to rake the weed. Or make your own with a metal bar about 3ft long and weld bars of metal along it about 4" long
and 2" a part, this will do the job nicely.

My brothers just making one for me out of copper tubing. He intends to solder a few teeth off the main bar and fill with sand! I have no idea what it's
gonna look like but he's pretty positive it's going to work. I'll post a pic when completed! The idea is if the rake gets suck behind a root or
rock i can pull until the teeth break then solder some more on.....

Dont think copper tubing will be up to it, there's a hell of a lot of strain on the rake when you drag it in.
Wensum..........lose some!

made my own/30inchs of 1 inch box with 20 prongs welded on 2 sides made of 8mm bar.it works

Extension handles are available as extra. It also has an alternative to the rake: a large HOOK which can be used to remove other rubbish such as windsurfers and yachties. Hey Soda. Sounds the biz, but THATS how you caught the mudpig isn't it? Come on! 'Fess up mate!
