Small Tench |
Lead | |
|
I purchased a small overgrown lake/pond in France a few years ago off an old French couple. I have found that the only fish I have are hundreds of small Tench
2" - 8" Maximum, I am puzzled as to why they are so small does anyone have any possible answers? In Nov/Dec 2007 I had the lake cleared and deepened
so the lake now has the most water I have ever seen in it but the Tench I catch are still the same size as 2 years ago. The only other fish were the small
Pumpkin Seeds (Sun Fish) that plague the shallow waters around the edges and 3 carp I was given in September 2007 (all under 10lb each)

Sadley mate I would say that it could be down to the amount in there. I once fished a private water like this in stourport about 20 years ago, and the owner
ended up culling most of the tench. I went back about 11 years ago and the size of the tench was dramaticly bigger
Drop me float there.......I'm in............... |
