eyup lads , looking for a local tench hole if anyone can help me?
used to do granthem canal, but the sections i looked at seem to of gone to rack n ruin. thanks in advance n tightlines |

Hi Gonefishing,I was brought up in Sheffield which isn't too far away.I used to fish Sandhills in the middle of Worksop which is an easy drive from
you.There used to be loads of tench in there up to about 6lb but that was 20 odd years ago.They are probably quite a bit bigger these days but unlikely to be
really big.Worksop and District AA now control it and day tickets £3on the bank according the web site.

There used to be some very large still water chub in there which were good sport on floating baits especially wasps nest.Not heard of anyone using that for ages.
